Hello there! I can't believe I have been already blogging regularly (ehem!) for two years! It's been a long trip and a very very pleasant experience for my ego (let's be honest). Who would have thought that someone would like my silly drawings?? AND! that they would even be any commercial or any interesting at all (especially since my english is so bad... I just hope you don't usually read anything I write and simply look at my drawings). I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the lovely comments and emails you have sent. They really are making my daily routine a lot easier to face. Knowing that someone out there follows your work and likes it enough to even talk to their friends about it or buy anythinig with it on or even wants to have it hanging on their wall is just amazing. So, as my way of saying a big thank you to all of you, I've decided to run a contest that I actually have been thinking about for quite a bit of time. Luckily, I'll be running this contest every anniversary.

Here it comes,

The first Alex Noriega Sketchblog anniversary silly contest is here!

The rules are quite simple (there's a FAQ below), whoever has a link to my website or blog is allowed to participate. You simply have to send me a simple email with the words (Alex Noriegas blog second anniversary silly contest) in the topic and provide me with a link to their site or blog proving that you have a link to my blog or site (you can also add some extra words... that wont get you out of the contest). All the names of the contesters will be written on a small paper and the innocent hand of my mother will pick the lucky winner (photos or video will be provided). The winner gets a free painting... YES! you read it good... a free original painting... totally free (did I already say it's for free?). The winner contester will get to pick (the first one) one of the paintings of my next minipaintings series and he/she will get it in their house for free. I will even pay for the shipping costs, I´m nice like that. There will be a second winner too, he/she will get a lot of free goodies that will be two of my Poketo wallets, two signed and numbered limited prints (by me, of course) , some of my buttons and a postcard of Barcelona (why not?). but wait! there will be a third place too! The prize will be a free Poketo wallet with one of my designs and some buttons too. I will pay for all the shipping costs.

Now let's put the rules properly.

1: Everyone with a site or blog linking to any of my sites is allowed to participate.

2: You only have to send me an email (go to my profile and look for it there) with the words "Alex Noriegas Blog Second Anniversary Silly Contest) written in the topic and provide me with a link to your site or blog where it's easy to find my link. No fake blogs or sites... don't give someone elses blog... I will find out and your karma will totally feel it. Also, don't foget to write your name and where are you from. Example: Sherlock Homes, London The UK.

3: Latest date to send the link is 27th of July.

4: The winners will be announced personally through email and through this blog. I will provide pictures proving everything was legal :)

5: The prizes are 1st- A free minipainting of my next 4th minipaintings series that the winner will get to choose before anyone. 2nd- Two of my Poketo wallets and two original prints signed and numbered by me- 3rd One of my Poketo wallets and some free buttons.

6: The winners will be announced the 5th of August, Although the official date that this blog will be two years old is the 18th (nevermind)

7: The prizes will be sent during the month of August and I will pay for all the shipping costs.


Silly FAQ

- Can I participate if the link to your site was in a post I did some months ago in my blog?
- The answer is yes. Just send me the link to it. But it would be cooler if you have it as a permanent link.

- Can I participate if I don't have a link to your site but I just added it after reading about this contest hoping you wont notice?
- The answer is YES. I'm trying to promote!

- I have lots of free time and no need for a job and I have 20 blogs and probably 12 of them link to you. Can I send you 12 emails?
- No, Just one is enough, just a "vote" per person.

- Ok, so where can I get your email?
- Go to the profile section next to my photo at the upper right side of the home page of this blog and it's there. I won't write it here. Robots are watching ;)

- Are you trying to promote insolently you sites?
- Yes. BUT! I also want to thank all the support I have got all this time while writing this blog. Also, I believe the more people knows about my work, the more chances I have to make a living of my art someday. It's still very far, but someday... maybe someday I will be a full time artist. Let's cross our fingers :)
